Taking care of number one:
I stare once again to the dark skies, on a wonderful night and drift into the thoughts of the product of what was once classified as a human being? Countless thoughts once again surface, with questions here and there. A million and one solutions seeking an answer to what has developed the thought of a human being along with what classifies you to be what you are meant to be in your body, heart, soul and thoughts?
Is there anything as an unconditional human being? Do we base everything on the aspect of what we achieve with “what’s in it for me” life style? Who is number one now and who takes care of number one? Who stated we as individuals are number one? Does it matter who number one is? Does the idea of not sacrificing or rather sacrificing to an extent make us more intrigued into supporting what takes care of number one? Can the entire world be considered as number one at a certain point in life? The idea of unity could start from various perspectives to a point where we all appreciate one another. Have respect to each and every thought of the long listed counterparts we have through various fields we cover on this planet. How can we unite when on a constant basis the righteous material is only uttered when we got nothing to loose? Holding hands and standing in the circle of unity takes a lot more than the actual physical aspect of uniting by body not through sprit and mind? Looking back into the various parts of what history has produced, we divided religion to divide people and use that to start wars! Was there a number one there? Of which later we looking into those divided units and further more added the mathematical equation to separate more of humans than we do of sun rays? Has education helped people distinguish more of what’s right or wrong, rather than creating more egos since some privileges were only achieved through the glory of your forth comer in life? Makes you wonder, why do the educated look down generally onto the illiterates?
Some might call me extreme to that matter as it is always wrong to generalize. However it has become a started fact in my opinion that humans have gone back from their fore fathers principles and hide within the shadow of modernization!! I write as a human filled with flaws. Like many of my family and friends, I have my errors, flaws and downfalls. Yet I have my glorious moments and lonely times. Admitting those to yourself is one thing, admitting it to the world is another. Which would you rather prefer? In a matter of debate to break through a point, will you, open up and admit a mistake and support your fellow mistaken family or friend through what you believe is the solution before God and man? Rather than analyzing the situation and considering what suits best? I have come across many similar situations and I wondered what’s the basis of it all was!! Total selfish acts! Brings us back to the point of, what’s in it for me, number one? I number one need to look at it from my own side of things and make sure I am safe. Doesn’t matter if I am right or wrong, doesn’t matter if I believe if it’s the right way, it suits me fine since it takes care of number one and that me. Selfish acts, indeed, something we all need to either look up too to assist us in getting places that look good as a cover magazine, or frown upon and work a conscience to result in a better life style. One that puts you to peace every time you lay your head to sleep or look in the mirror telling yourself, I am not selfish ,I did what I thought was right. Some in many cases do the right thing to a point where no harm comes their way. My other query” to what extent would you be righteous about separating right from wrong”? Would you cause temporary “inflicted wounds if that’s what you would classify it, since you dedicated your life style into pointing out what’s right from wrong. The ghost of politically right seems to haunt many offices and adobes in our current day and age! The twist and manipulative power of words has been mightier than the sword indeed to use people’s words against them. We battle our shadows in hatred of the light that cause us to see oneself being followed by the reflected shadow!
